About the Film

Blending state of the art animation with live action, Hop is a comedy
about E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand), the teenage son of the Easter
Bunny. On the eve of taking over the family business, E.B. leaves
for Hollywood in pursuit of his dream of becoming a drummer. He
encounters Fred (James Marsden), an out-of-work slacker with his
own lofty goals, who accidentally hits E.B. with his car. Feigning
injury, E.B. manipulates Fred into providing him shelter, and Fred
finds himself with the world's worst houseguest.

Based on its intended audience (kids 4 through 10) Parents should
expect the obvious—a sweet holiday treat for kids with possibly
a laugh or two for audiences over 12 years of age.

CHEAT SHEET: Here's what you need to know...
Lowest recommended age: 4 years of age
MPAA: PG
Genre: Family
Sexual content: As E.B tries to get into the Playboy Mansion, (because he thinks
its a haven for rabbits), there's a reference made to “sexy bunnies,”
that young audiences will simply not take note of.

Alcohol/Drugs: None
Violence & Gore:

Carlos “the Chick,” plans an uprising in hopes to replace E.B as
the new Easter Bunny. Also three ninja-like bunnies sent to find
E.B. (after leaving home in search of fame), spit sedative darts at
several characters.

Language: Terms such as “stupid,” “lazy” and “Freak” are occasionally
used by characters throughout the film.

Message: The film provides a great message for children on the importance
for the need of determination to do big things and to reach their dreams. As an added bonus, adults will also come away with great lessons on the power of unconditional love and support even when
their kids aspirations don't match their own.

Entertainment Weekly I By Owen Glelberman
“It's Alvin and the Chipmunks with only one chipmunk, and (if possible) even less fun."

Hollywood Reporter I By Kirk Honeycutt
“A fun and funny mix of live action and animation that puts the hop back into Easter.”

St. Petersburg Times I By Steve Persall
“Hop is a cheap chocolate Easter bunny of a movie; completely hollow, well
beyond its sell-by date, and after it's finished you're left feeling a bit ill.”

San Francisco Chronicle I By Mick LaSalle
“A fairly undistinguished but pleasant and easy-to-take holiday movie, with
slow spots and silly spots and a handful of moments of inspiration.”
